Adobe - Retur av lisenser 

Når det gjelder lisenser - så er det slik at så snart et produkt er mottatt og tatt ibruk, så har lisensen også vært i bruk - og denne kan ikke uten videre returneres.  Så snart man har tilgang til å bruke et produkt - så trenger man en lisens - uavhengig av hvor mye man har brukt produktet.   Derfor er det heller ikke mulig å returnere et produkt lang tid etter at dette er tatt i bruk.

Adobe har følgende regler i forhold til retur av lisenser:

Changes to the Channel Return Exception Policy for Shrink wrap and Licensing (TLP/CLP)

Effective Jun 1st 2009, the following changes will be implemented worldwide in respect of the current Channel Return Exception policy for Shrink wrap and Licensing (TLP/CLP).
There will be just two time frames with two bands of administration fee
1 – 45 days past allowance 15% of return amount - Admin. Fee
46 – 90 days past allowance 35% of return amount - Admin. Fee
No returns will be allowed for product 91 days or more outside standard policy.
The charge for “One-way LOD” will increase to €200.00/$200.00
All other elements of the policy/process will remain the same.

Channel Return Exception Policy
Shrink wrap and Licensing

From time to time channel partners find it necessary to ask for a return authorization that falls outside of our contractual terms. In order to better accommodate these requests, we are implementing a return fee schedule. The fees are detailed below and will be activated as of 1 June 2009.

Administrative Fees:

1 – 45 days past allowance 15% of return amount - Admin. Fee
46 – 90 days past allowance 35% of return amount - Admin. Fee
91 days or greater no return allowed

In addition, for our licensing partners, there are times when an LOD is not possible to obtain for an order placed in error. In these cases, Adobe Legal will take the responsibility to contact the end user to notify them that an error has been made. There will be a €200.00/$200.00/24,000YEN fee for this service. This fee will be in addition to any late fees listed above. 

I tillegg til avgiftene ovenfor, får man tilsendt et "LOD" (Letter of Deduction).  Hvor man bekrefter på eget firmapapir at man ikke lenger bruker produktet, og denne signerte dokumentasjonen sendes  i retur til Adobe i henhold til instruksene fra Adobe.  Når dette så blir godkjent fra Adobe, så får man det avkortede beløpet i retur, eller innbytte i forhold til andre/nye lisenser.
